Paige gets so excited when she sees a remote to the TV or a phone. I'm not quite sure why babies like these things so much. Here she is reaching as far as she can to get the remote... and yes, with a little maneuvering and stretching she did finally get it!

Aunt Lindy and Paige
What...?!? a white Easter?
Wahoo!!!! The Easter Bunny came!

Shealee was very excited to wake up Easter morning! She knew the Easter bunny had come and left her something so she couldn't wait to come downstairs. The Easter bunny hid her Easter basket so she had to find it. Paige enjoyed Easter morning also. She got to try her first taste of chocolate! As you can tell by her face, she loved it! Aunt Lindy got to spend the majority of last week at our house. We were so sad to see her leave Sunday afternoon. At least she'll be coming out again a long with Aunt Leeanne and cousin Jenna in about a month so it wasn't as hard to say good bye.

Snow fun!
I came home from a relief society activity this last Saturday to find a cute little snowman in our yard. Brandon helped Shealee make a little Frosty. It's not too clear in the picture but the nose is a jalepeno and the eyes are smashed pinecones. Shealee said, "Me and dada looked in the 'figd-ator' and couldn't find a carrot." Since Saturday, dear Frosty has not been able to withstand the rain. All that is left is half of the bottom part of his body.
Brandon also made a little hill in our backyard for Shealee and Paige to sled down. The both loved every minute of it. Brandon got a lot of video of that but not too many pictures. We have to get a puicture of Paige strapped in that little sled. She looked so cute in it. Maybe if I figure it out, I'll put some of that video footage on the blog later.Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Cleveland Auto Show
Last week we wanted to stay out of the cold but really wanted to do something. We found ourselves at the Cleveland auto show. We went last year and thought it was fun so we invited our friends, Brandon and Marni and came back. Shealee and their little boy Logan had a fun time together. They were pretty excited about the balloons they got. An interesting looking Dora and Elmo were there also. Shealee was so freaked out by them. She was crying for her life! Last time she was that scared was when we made her sit on Santa's lap. Shealee and Paige were both exhaused that on the ride home they fell asleep instantly. Seriously, what in the world would we do without naps!

Shealee and 105 yr. old Sis Penman!
We love to visit sister Penman. She is such an amazing woman! When we were in the third ward I was her visiting teacher for a short time. Since then, we have really enjoyed getting to know her. You wouldn't believe she is really 105. Every time I see her I can't believe how well she gets around. She just zips around the house using her cane. She is a convert to the church of I think, either 7 or 8 years. Hopefully this spring, when the weather is nice and she is good enough health, we will be taking her on a trip to the temple to be sealed to her husband and other family members.
Crazy Shealee!
See anything wrong with this picture? No we are not bad parents. At least I don't think we are. Brandon was outside taking pictures of all the snow. Shealee went and got her shoes on herself (with out socks), didn't put any pants or a jacket on and booked it out the front door. She never even acted like she was cold for two seconds. We had to take a quick picture before we hurried her inside. I know... crazy girl!

Baby it's COLD outside!
Here are some views I took today from our front porch. We got so much snow yesterday. Shealee wants to play in it so bad! I told her she could if the sun would ever come out! Ha ha ha, we'll see if that ever happens! We can't wait until it warms up again! I guess we can look at the bright side. We only have one more of these freezing winters to endure and then we'll be back in AZ for good! We are enjoyng our experience here but will definatly be ready to go back to AZ when the time comes. We'll take the hot summers over the snow any day!
